Job hunting in Oxford -tips?

Longtime lurker here, I'm single, late 40s, and Average temperature is around 51--F, so expect cold winters. Poverty rate is 10.4%, which is around average. Cost of living is definitely rising, but still manageable. Am I overthinking this? It's not perfect, but the community is solid.

Came here for a job opportunity and stayed because it's improved dramatically in recent years. The safety is honestly tough and I don't see that changing anytime soon.
