OK so I'm a teacher here and The unemployment rate is 4.4%, which is about average. With a population of 201K, Oxnard is a mid-size city. Homes are going for about $617,800 on average. Public transit needs a lot of work honestly. The city has invested a lot in new development. It's not perfect, but the community is solid. The city has invested a lot in new development. The weather takes some getting used to. Night life is decent if you know the right spots. Property taxes are high but you get good services. There's a real sense of community in certain neighborhoods.
