First post here. Median household income is $94,989, which feels pretty solid for the area. Average temperature is around 57--F, so the weather is moderate. The food scene here is surprisingly good. The parks and outdoor areas are a huge plus. Worth the trade-offs? Honestly, I think it's a great place if you know where to look.

Great question. I'll try to be comprehensive here.
I'm a teacher who relocated here from Seattle about 10 years ago. The main reasons were school and school.
Pros I've experienced:
- Good internet infrastructure
- Close to major attractions
- Good airport with direct flights
Cons that are real:
- Not very walkable outside downtown
- Limited entertainment options
Financially, we've found it excellent compared to where we came from. Lots of new construction which should help. Groceries are affordable, gas is better than expected.
Socially, the quality of life is solid. Your mileage may vary depending on what you're looking for..
