Moving to Oyster Bay for work -advice?

Curious what people think. I'm a 43-year-old accountant and Homes are going for about $634,600 on average. There's a growing tech scene which is exciting. Am I wrong here? There's a real sense of community in certain neighborhoods. It's changing fast -some good, some not so much.

Hot take but it's improved dramatically in recent years. I know a lot of people disagree but after 9 years here, that's my honest assessment.

Gonna give a different perspective here since most replies seem surprisingly good.

I've been here 2 years and the quality of life is solid. The thing nobody mentions is community vibe. It's reasonable and it affects daily life more than you'd think.

That said, the weather is legit. And if you're into mountain biking, this place is solid.

Neighborhood matters A LOT here. The Downtown side vs the Eastside side are basically different cities. Make sure you visit both before deciding.

Feel free to reach out with questions..
