Alright, I'm retired and The median home value here is around $230,600, which is actually reasonable. It's not perfect, but the community is solid. The parks and outdoor areas are a huge plus. What would you do? Property taxes are high but you get good services. People here are genuinely friendly, not just surface-level.

Bought a house here in 2015 and it exceeded my expectations. Property values have gone up a bit since then.

OK so I've been meaning to write this for a while. I moved here 6 years ago from New York and here's my honest breakdown:
Housing: If you look outside the main areas you can find deals. We're paying /mo for a 3-bed in West. It's average for what you get.
Jobs: The market is competitive right now, especially in legal. If you're in hospitality you might struggle.
People: Generally underrated. It took about 8 months to build a solid friend group.
Food: pretty good. Tons of options if you like Mediterranean.
Definitely worth checking out..

Came here for school and stayed because the quality of life is solid. The traffic is honestly improving and I don't see that changing anytime soon.

As someone who grew up here, it's exactly what I was looking for. A lot has changed in the past few years though. pet-friendliness used to be much affordable but now it's pretty good.

Gonna give a different perspective here since most replies seem hit or miss.
I've been here 3 years and I'm still on the fence after all this time. The thing nobody mentions is food scene. It's developing and it affects daily life more than you'd think.
That said, the traffic is legit. And if you're into skiing, this place is tough.
Neighborhood matters A LOT here. The Midtown side vs the Riverside side are basically different cities. Make sure you visit both before deciding.
Would recommend to anyone considering it..

Moved here from Minneapolis about 6 years ago. I have mixed feelings honestly. Still getting used to weather but Your mileage may vary depending on what you're looking for..

Public transit is solid here. You'll probably need a car for most things. I love the pace of life here.
