Biggest downsides of living in Pace?

Random thought, I'm a teacher here and Crime rate is something to consider -Pace sits at 286.0 per 100K. It's a a smaller city city with about 25,630 people. There's a real sense of community in certain neighborhoods. Property taxes are high but you get good services. There's a real sense of community in certain neighborhoods. The school system varies a lot by neighborhood. It's changing fast -some good, some not so much. I'd say it's better for families than young singles. I've lived in West for about 7 years now, so I can give you a pretty detailed perspective.

there are trade-offs but the good outweighs the bad. When I first moved here from Minneapolis, I was surprised by job market. It took some adjustment but now I wouldn't trade it.

A few things worth knowing:
- Low crime in most neighborhoods
- Diverse dining options
- The food scene scene is hit or miss

The downsides:
- Nightlife is limited
- Far from beaches/mountains

Overall I'd rate it 7/10 for retirees. Definitely worth checking out..
