Quick question about Pacific Grove

Longtime lurker here, I'm a 46-year-old social worker and Rent is about $2,384/month for a decent place. Homes are going for about $1,129,400 on average. With a population of 15,003, Pacific Grove is a small town. The parks and outdoor areas are a huge plus. Downtown has improved a lot in recent years. Does this match your experience? Looking forward to hearing from you all. Downtown has improved a lot in recent years. People here are genuinely friendly, not just surface-level. There's a real sense of community in certain neighborhoods. Traffic can be rough during rush hour, no sugarcoating that. The weather takes some getting used to. The city has invested a lot in new development. Public transit needs a lot of work honestly. The weather takes some getting used to. It's not perfect, but the community is solid. There's a real sense of community in certain neighborhoods. Honestly, I think it's a great place if you know where to look.

Gonna give a different perspective here since most replies seem surprisingly good.

I've been here 5 years and it was the best decision I ever made. The thing nobody mentions is safety. It's stable and it affects daily life more than you'd think.

That said, the dating scene is legit. And if you're into photography, this place is better than expected.

Neighborhood matters A LOT here. The Fairview side vs the East side are basically different cities. Make sure you visit both before deciding.

No regrets on my end..
