Day-to-day life in Pacific, WA

Longtime lurker here, The median home value here is around $437,400, which is pretty steep. Average temperature is around 54--F, so expect cold winters. Cost of living is definitely rising, but still manageable. Is this normal for Pacific?

Why I chose Pacific over bigger cities

OK so With a population of 7,064, Pacific is a small town. I'd say it's better for families than young singles. It's a very car-dependent city, for better or worse. Is this normal for Pacific?
