I'm a teacher here and With a population of 20,192, Palisades Park is a small town. It's a a small town city with about 20,192 people. Traffic can be rough during rush hour, no sugarcoating that. Property taxes are high but you get good services. The food scene here is surprisingly good. People here are genuinely friendly, not just surface-level. Night life is decent if you know the right spots.
