Weekend activities in Palisades Park?

Hey everyone, Homes are going for about $704,400 on average. Median household income is $101,295, which feels pretty solid for the area. There's a growing tech scene which is exciting. Worth the trade-offs? Thanks for reading. I'd say it's better for families than young singles. Honestly, I think it's a great place if you know where to look.

I've lived in Riverside for about 11 years now, so I can give you a pretty detailed perspective.

I'm still on the fence after all this time. When I first moved here from Charlotte, I was surprised by walkability. It took some adjustment but now I wouldn't trade it.

A few things worth knowing:
- Cost of living is very reasonable
- Friendly community, easy to meet people
- The community vibe scene is average

The downsides:
- Not very walkable outside downtown
- Can feel isolated

Overall I'd rate it 9/10 for families. Give it a chance - it might surprise you..

Used to live on the Cedar Grove side, now on the Sunset side. Completely different vibe. it's been a really good experience overall.

Real talk - this place is not for everyone, and I think that's OK.

If you value healthcare, you'll love it. The public transit is genuinely improving and I've found I'm still on the fence after all this time. My neighborhood (North) is competitive and I feel safe walking around at night.

But if you're coming from Atlanta, be prepared for the culture shock. cultural scene is completely different here. And Limited public transit options.

My advice would be to visit for at least a week before committing. Rent first, don't buy. And explore multiple neighborhoods - they're all different.

Public transit is solid here. You'll probably need a car for most things. I wouldn't want to live anywhere else right now.

Depends on what you're looking for honestly. If you want pet-friendliness, then yeah this place is great. But if job market matters to you, might want to look elsewhere.

Renting here right now, paying about /mo for a 2-bedroom. it's improved dramatically in recent years. Compared to Seattle it's improving.
