Hey folks, The median home value here is around $248,000, which is actually reasonable. The unemployment rate is 3.6%, which is pretty low. With a population of 125K, Palm Bay is a mid-size city. The food scene here is surprisingly good. Cost of living is definitely rising, but still manageable. Would love some local perspective. Cost of living is definitely rising, but still manageable. I'd say it's better for families than young singles. Public transit needs a lot of work honestly. Traffic can be rough during rush hour, no sugarcoating that. It's not perfect, but the community is solid. The suburbs are where most families end up. Property taxes are high but you get good services. Downtown has improved a lot in recent years. It's changing fast — some good, some not so much.
