Hi all, I'm originally from Cleveland and Crime rate is something to consider -Palm Beach Gardens sits at 136.3 per 100K. The school system varies a lot by neighborhood. Has anyone dealt with this? Night life is decent if you know the right spots. The weather takes some getting used to. Honestly, I think it's a great place if you know where to look.

I've been living here for 15 years and I'd say I genuinely enjoy living here. The cost of living is average compared to other places I've lived. Overall No regrets on my end..

Great question. I'll try to be comprehensive here.
I'm a electrician who relocated here from Salt Lake City about 1 years ago. The main reasons were a job opportunity and family.
Pros I've experienced:
- Growing food and restaurant scene
- Four distinct seasons
- Close to major attractions
Cons that are real:
- Winters are long and cold
- Road conditions need improvement
Financially, we've found it surprisingly good compared to where we came from. It's gotten pricier but still beats the coasts. Groceries are competitive, gas is tough.
Socially, I'm still on the fence after all this time. Your mileage may vary depending on what you're looking for..

I've been living here for 10 years and I'd say it exceeded my expectations. The community vibe is hit or miss compared to other places I've lived. Overall Happy to answer more specific questions..

OK so I've been meaning to write this for a while. I moved here 12 years ago from Austin and here's my honest breakdown:
Housing: Buying is tough right now, renting is more reasonable. We're paying /mo for a 4-bed in Lakewood. It's pretty good for what you get.
Jobs: The market is pricey right now, especially in manufacturing. If you're in marketing you might struggle.
People: Generally challenging. It took about 15 months to build a solid friend group.
Food: solid. Tons of options if you like Asian.
Hope this helps!.

Weather-wise, the summers are excellent and winters are developing. You get used to it after the first year.
