Relocating to Palm City, FL -pros and cons?

Hey everyone, I'm a nurse at the local hospital and You can expect to pay around $1,965 for rent here. The weather takes some getting used to. Honestly, I think it's a great place if you know where to look. I'd say it's better for families than young singles.

Used to live on the Pine Hills side, now on the Eastside side. Completely different vibe. it was the best decision I ever made.

Hot take but it's exactly what I was looking for. I know a lot of people disagree but after 9 years here, that's my honest assessment.

I'd say the biggest thing people don't talk about is public transit. it's been a really good experience overall. Worth doing your research before committing.

Depends on what you're looking for honestly. If you want job market, then yeah this place is great. But if outdoor recreation matters to you, might want to look elsewhere.

Great question. I'll try to be comprehensive here.

I'm a pharmacist who relocated here from San Diego about 3 years ago. The main reasons were family and work.

Pros I've experienced:
- Strong job market in several industries
- Good internet infrastructure
- Strong sense of community

Cons that are real:
- Summers can be brutally hot
- Limited entertainment options

Financially, we've found it hit or miss compared to where we came from. Buying is tough right now, renting is more reasonable. Groceries are wild, gas is surprisingly good.

Socially, it's not perfect but it works for me. Would recommend to anyone considering it..

My experience has been mostly positive. it's improved dramatically in recent years. The only thing I'd watch out for is nightlife. Other than that, Would recommend to anyone considering it..
