Hey folks, We're a young couple and With a population of 26,719, Palm River-Clair Mel is a smaller city. You can expect to pay around $1,439 for rent here. Night life is decent if you know the right spots. I'd say it's better for families than young singles.

I've lived in Cedar Grove for about 10 years now, so I can give you a pretty detailed perspective.

it exceeded my expectations. When I first moved here from Dallas, I was surprised by pet-friendliness. It took some adjustment but now I wouldn't trade it.

A few things worth knowing:
- Great outdoor activities nearby
- Four distinct seasons
- The outdoor recreation scene is pretty good

The downsides:
- Traffic during rush hour is rough
- Limited high-paying job options

Overall I'd rate it 6/10 for young professionals. It's not for everyone but it works for us..

Great question. I'll try to be comprehensive here.

I'm a chef who relocated here from Nashville about 10 years ago. The main reasons were school and work.

Pros I've experienced:
- Strong job market in several industries
- Diverse dining options
- Strong sense of community

Cons that are real:
- Rising rent and home prices
- Dating scene is rough

Financially, we've found it solid compared to where we came from. Lots of new construction which should help. Groceries are established, gas is hit or miss.

Socially, I wouldn't want to live anywhere else right now. Would recommend to anyone considering it..

From a safety perspective, it really depends on the area. Some neighborhoods are tough, others not so much. Do your research on specific streets.
