Been meaning to ask this. With a population of 44,998, Palm Springs is a smaller city. The food scene here is surprisingly good.

Gonna give a different perspective here since most replies seem improving.
I've been here 1 years and I wouldn't want to live anywhere else right now. The thing nobody mentions is cost of living. It's competitive and it affects daily life more than you'd think.
That said, the traffic is legit. And if you're into camping, this place is tough.
Neighborhood matters A LOT here. The Riverside side vs the Oak Park side are basically different cities. Make sure you visit both before deciding.
Give it a chance - it might surprise you..

Great question. I'll try to be comprehensive here.
I'm a pharmacist who relocated here from Austin about 8 years ago. The main reasons were a fresh start and work.
Pros I've experienced:
- Good healthcare facilities
- Strong job market in several industries
- Affordable housing options
Cons that are real:
- Limited public transit options
- Nightlife is limited
Financially, we've found it pretty good compared to where we came from. Lots of new construction which should help. Groceries are wild, gas is surprisingly good.
Socially, I wouldn't want to live anywhere else right now. Good luck with whatever you decide..
