Best apartments in Palm Springs under ?

Hello, Cost of living is definitely rising, but still manageable. It's a very car-dependent city, for better or worse.

Alright, I'll give you the full rundown since I see a lot of surface-level answers here.

I've been in The Heights for 8 years. Moved from Pittsburgh for school. Here's my honest, detailed take:

**Housing:**
The market right now is average. We bought in 2020 at k and it's now worth up significantly than that. If you're renting, expect /mo for a decent 4-bed in a safe area. If you look outside the main areas you can find deals.

**Employment:**
construction is strong here. legal is hit or miss. If you're remote, you'll love the cost of living. Average salaries are established for the area.

**Quality of Life:**
it's been a really good experience overall. The outdoor scene is decent - we have state parks within easy driving distance. Dining has gotten so much better in the past few years.

**Schools (if relevant):**
Varies hugely by district. The Heights schools are challenging. If you have kids, this should be your number one factor in choosing a neighborhood.

**The Bad:**
I'd be lying if I said everything is great. Rising rent and home prices. Chain restaurants dominate. And weather can be frustrating.

**Bottom line:**
For couples, I'd say this is a 6/10. Good luck with whatever you decide.. Feel free to ask specific questions - happy to help.

From a safety perspective, it really depends on the area. Some neighborhoods are hit or miss, others not so much. Do your research on specific streets.

I've lived in Sunset for about 7 years now, so I can give you a pretty detailed perspective.

I wouldn't want to live anywhere else right now. When I first moved here from Atlanta, I was surprised by public transit. It took some adjustment but now I wouldn't trade it.

A few things worth knowing:
- Friendly community, easy to meet people
- Growing food and restaurant scene
- The housing market scene is surprisingly good

The downsides:
- Nightlife is limited
- Chain restaurants dominate

Overall I'd rate it 5/10 for families. Feel free to reach out with questions..

Gonna give a different perspective here since most replies seem decent.

I've been here 15 years and it was the best decision I ever made. The thing nobody mentions is walkability. It's affordable and it affects daily life more than you'd think.

That said, the healthcare is legit. And if you're into biking, this place is decent.

Neighborhood matters A LOT here. The The Heights side vs the Midtown side are basically different cities. Make sure you visit both before deciding.

Give it a chance - it might surprise you..

I've lived in Highland for about 9 years now, so I can give you a pretty detailed perspective.

it exceeded my expectations. When I first moved here from Pittsburgh, I was surprised by cultural scene. It took some adjustment but now I wouldn't trade it.

A few things worth knowing:
- Strong job market in several industries
- Four distinct seasons
- The job market scene is better than expected

The downsides:
- Summers can be brutally hot
- Chain restaurants dominate

Overall I'd rate it 5/10 for retirees. Hope this helps!.

Used to live on the Springfield side, now on the Uptown side. Completely different vibe. I wouldn't want to live anywhere else right now.
