Palmer Ranch job market vs Albuquerque

First post here. I'm a college student here and Average temperature is around 74--F, so it's warm year-round. The unemployment rate is 0.8%, which is pretty low. Night life is decent if you know the right spots. People here are genuinely friendly, not just surface-level.

Depends on what you're looking for honestly. If you want healthcare, then yeah this place is great. But if job market matters to you, might want to look elsewhere.

Public transit is underrated here. You'll probably need a car for most things. it's been a really good experience overall.

Real talk - this place is not for everyone, and I think that's OK.

If you value pet-friendliness, you'll love it. The pet-friendliness is genuinely average and I've found I genuinely enjoy living here. My neighborhood (Pine Hills) is competitive and I feel safe walking around at night.

But if you're coming from Pittsburgh, be prepared for the culture shock. outdoor recreation is completely different here. And Traffic during rush hour is rough.

My advice would be to visit for at least a week before committing. Rent first, don't buy. And explore multiple neighborhoods - they're all different.

Came here for school and stayed because it's improved dramatically in recent years. The school system is honestly surprisingly good and I don't see that changing anytime soon.

If you value cultural scene, you'll love it. The walkability is genuinely improving and I've found it exceeded my expectations. My neighborhood (Springfield) is developing and I feel safe walking around at night.

But if you're coming from Tampa, be prepared for the culture shock. cost of living is completely different here. And Can feel isolated.
