Commute times in Palmetto -how bad?

Hello, Military spouse here. Household incomes average around $61,538 in Palmetto. With a population of 13,449, Palmetto is a small town. Traffic can be rough during rush hour, no sugarcoating that. Property taxes are high but you get good services. Thoughts? Thanks! There's a growing tech scene which is exciting. It's a very car-dependent city, for better or worse.

Renting here right now, paying about /mo for a 4-bedroom. there are trade-offs but the good outweighs the bad. Compared to Houston it's decent.

From a safety perspective, it really depends on the area. Some neighborhoods are hit or miss, others not so much. Do your research on specific streets.

Came here for retirement and stayed because it was the best decision I ever made. The cost of living is honestly surprisingly good and I don't see that changing anytime soon.
