Career opportunities in Palo Alto, CA

Anyone else feel this way? Crime rate is something to consider -Palo Alto sits at 128.5 per 100K. It's a a smaller city city with about 67,231 people. The suburbs are where most families end up. It's not perfect, but the community is solid. What would you do? It's not perfect, but the community is solid. People here are genuinely friendly, not just surface-level. It's a very car-dependent city, for better or worse.

Weather-wise, the summers are pretty good and winters are competitive. You get used to it after the first year.

I've lived in Old Town for about 15 years now, so I can give you a pretty detailed perspective.

there are trade-offs but the good outweighs the bad. When I first moved here from Salt Lake City, I was surprised by safety. It took some adjustment but now I wouldn't trade it.

A few things worth knowing:
- Decent public transit for the size
- Diverse dining options
- The cultural scene scene is surprisingly good

The downsides:
- Winters are long and cold
- Limited entertainment options

Overall I'd rate it 8/10 for remote workers. Definitely worth checking out..
