Best neighborhoods to rent in Pampa?

So, I relocated for work and Average temperature is around 58--F, so the weather is moderate. Rent is about $898/month for a decent place. The school system varies a lot by neighborhood. Is this normal for Pampa? People here are genuinely friendly, not just surface-level. People here are genuinely friendly, not just surface-level.

We moved here with our family and I have mixed feelings honestly. Schools in Riverside area are solid. Kids love it here.

I'm a writer and I've found it's not perfect but it works for me. The community is underrated and there's always something going on.

Gonna give a different perspective here since most replies seem tough.

I've been here 14 years and I genuinely enjoy living here. The thing nobody mentions is housing market. It's affordable and it affects daily life more than you'd think.

That said, the housing market is legit. And if you're into golfing, this place is solid.

Neighborhood matters A LOT here. The Westside side vs the Eastside side are basically different cities. Make sure you visit both before deciding.

Would recommend to anyone considering it..

I've been here 15 years and I'm still on the fence after all this time. The thing nobody mentions is outdoor recreation. It's affordable and it affects daily life more than you'd think.

That said, the nightlife is legit. And if you're into camping, this place is surprisingly good.

Neighborhood matters A LOT here. The Cedar Grove side vs the Eastside side are basically different cities. Make sure you visit both before deciding.

Happy to answer more specific questions..

Gonna give a different perspective here since most replies seem hit or miss.

I've been here 11 years and I wouldn't want to live anywhere else right now. The thing nobody mentions is walkability. It's reasonable and it affects daily life more than you'd think.

That said, the community vibe is legit. And if you're into rock climbing, this place is hit or miss.

Neighborhood matters A LOT here. The Uptown side vs the Fairview side are basically different cities. Make sure you visit both before deciding.

No regrets on my end..

Public transit is tough here. You'll probably need a car for most things. the quality of life is solid.

Great question. I'll try to be comprehensive here.

I'm a physical therapist who relocated here from New York about 6 years ago. The main reasons were work and weather.

Pros I've experienced:
- Strong job market in several industries
- Lots of new development happening
- Diverse dining options

Cons that are real:
- Nightlife is limited
- Limited high-paying job options

Financially, we've found it decent compared to where we came from. It's gotten pricier but still beats the coasts. Groceries are competitive, gas is underrated.

Socially, it's not perfect but it works for me. Would recommend to anyone considering it..
