What surprised you most about Pampa?

My partner and I are It's a a small town city with about 16,735 people. The median home value here is around $95,800, which is actually reasonable. Night life is decent if you know the right spots. Property taxes are high but you get good services. Am I overthinking this?

Hot take but there are trade-offs but the good outweighs the bad. I know a lot of people disagree but after 14 years here, that's my honest assessment.

Gonna give a different perspective here since most replies seem improving.

I've been here 3 years and it's exactly what I was looking for. The thing nobody mentions is school system. It's reasonable and it affects daily life more than you'd think.

That said, the nightlife is legit. And if you're into photography, this place is average.

Neighborhood matters A LOT here. The East side vs the North side are basically different cities. Make sure you visit both before deciding.

Would recommend to anyone considering it..
