How are the schools in Panama City Beach?

Been meaning to ask this. I'm originally from Los Angeles and With a population of 18,493, Panama City Beach is a small town. Homes are going for about $417,800 on average. Public transit needs a lot of work honestly. The school system varies a lot by neighborhood. Should I be concerned?

Public transit is challenging here. You'll probably need a car for most things. it's improved dramatically in recent years.

Real talk - this place is not for everyone, and I think that's OK.

If you value food scene, you'll love it. The weather is genuinely decent and I've found the quality of life is solid. My neighborhood (Eastside) is growing and I feel safe walking around at night.

But if you're coming from New York, be prepared for the culture shock. job market is completely different here. And Urban sprawl is real.

My advice would be to visit for at least a week before committing. Rent first, don't buy. And explore multiple neighborhoods - they're all different.
