Been meaning to ask this. I'm a 32-year-old chef and Poverty rate is 12.9%, which is around average. Crime rate is something to consider — Paradise sits at 164.9 per 100K. It's changing fast — some good, some not so much. Am I overthinking this? Looking forward to hearing from you all. There's a growing tech scene which is exciting. Public transit needs a lot of work honestly. It's not perfect, but the community is solid.

Used to live on the The Heights side, now on the Oak Park side. Completely different vibe. I love the pace of life here.

Came here for my partner's job and stayed because I love the pace of life here. The pet-friendliness is honestly tough and I don't see that changing anytime soon.

I work in hospitality here and I'm still on the fence after all this time. The job market for my field is hit or miss. Give it a chance - it might surprise you..

I've been living here for 12 years and I'd say it's not perfect but it works for me. The pet-friendliness is challenging compared to other places I've lived. Overall Definitely worth checking out..

Bought a house here in 2015 and it's exactly what I was looking for. Property values have gone up a bit since then.
