Gonna give a different perspective here since most replies seem decent.

I've been here 13 years and it exceeded my expectations. The thing nobody mentions is traffic. It's pricey and it affects daily life more than you'd think.

That said, the healthcare is legit. And if you're into golfing, this place is decent.

Neighborhood matters A LOT here. The Fairview side vs the The Heights side are basically different cities. Make sure you visit both before deciding.

Give it a chance - it might surprise you..

Public transit is improving here. You'll probably need a car for most things. I wouldn't want to live anywhere else right now.

Gonna give a different perspective here since most replies seem tough.

I've been here 9 years and there are trade-offs but the good outweighs the bad. The thing nobody mentions is healthcare. It's reasonable and it affects daily life more than you'd think.

That said, the dating scene is legit. And if you're into skiing, this place is improving.

Definitely worth checking out..

Not gonna lie, the first year was rough. But once you find your neighborhood and your people, there are trade-offs but the good outweighs the bad. Your mileage may vary depending on what you're looking for..

Depends on what you're looking for honestly. If you want community vibe, then yeah this place is great. But if dating scene matters to you, might want to look elsewhere.

From a safety perspective, it really depends on the area. Some neighborhoods are underrated, others not so much. Do your research on specific streets.

Used to live on the Eastside side, now on the Lakewood side. Completely different vibe. I'm still on the fence after all this time.
