Is Paris worth moving to in 2026?

Hi all, I'm a teacher here and Median household income is $51,798, which feels on the lower side for the area. The median home value here is around $71,200, which is actually reasonable. Average temperature is around 51--F, so expect cold winters. The unemployment rate is 2.0%, which is pretty low. Property taxes are high but you get good services. There's a growing tech scene which is exciting. Public transit needs a lot of work honestly. The parks and outdoor areas are a huge plus. Honestly, I think it's a great place if you know where to look. The food scene here is surprisingly good. People here are genuinely friendly, not just surface-level. I'd say it's better for families than young singles. There's a real sense of community in certain neighborhoods. Downtown has improved a lot in recent years. Honestly, I think it's a great place if you know where to look. Honestly, I think it's a great place if you know where to look. I'd say it's better for families than young singles. My experience has been mostly positive. I wouldn't want to live anywhere else right now. The only thing I'd watch out for is housing market. Other than that, Happy to answer more specific questions..

The food scene here is decent. Tons of great farm-to-table places. there are trade-offs but the good outweighs the bad.
