Unpopular opinion about Paris

Hi all, Military spouse here. Homes are going for about $182,100 on average. Rent is about $728/month for a decent place. Crime rate is something to consider -Paris sits at 162.0 per 100K. It's not perfect, but the community is solid. People here are genuinely friendly, not just surface-level. Public transit needs a lot of work honestly. There's a growing tech scene which is exciting. Cost of living is definitely rising, but still manageable.

Gonna give a different perspective here since most replies seem better than expected.

I've been here 7 years and I'm still on the fence after all this time. The thing nobody mentions is nightlife. It's competitive and it affects daily life more than you'd think.

That said, the weather is legit. And if you're into surfing, this place is challenging.

Neighborhood matters A LOT here. The Fairview side vs the South side are basically different cities. Make sure you visit both before deciding.
