Biggest downsides of living in Park Hills?

Hi all, Homes are going for about $121,100 on average. Traffic can be rough during rush hour, no sugarcoating that. I'd say it's better for families than young singles. Honestly, I think it's a great place if you know where to look. People here are genuinely friendly, not just surface-level. The suburbs are where most families end up. The school system varies a lot by neighborhood.

If you're remote, this place is great for cost of living. it's exactly what I was looking for. Internet is better than expected in most areas.

Weather-wise, the summers are decent and winters are established. You get used to it after the first year.

We moved here with our family and I'm still on the fence after all this time. Schools in Eastside area are hit or miss. Kids love it here.

Great question. I'll try to be comprehensive here.

I'm a teacher who relocated here from Salt Lake City about 15 years ago. The main reasons were my partner's job and family.

Pros I've experienced:
- Great outdoor activities nearby
- Four distinct seasons
- Lots of family-friendly activities

Cons that are real:
- Nightlife is limited
- Dating scene is rough

Financially, we've found it surprisingly good compared to where we came from. If you look outside the main areas you can find deals. Groceries are competitive, gas is solid.

Socially, it's not perfect but it works for me. Would recommend to anyone considering it..

We moved here with our family and there are trade-offs but the good outweighs the bad. Schools in Springfield area are tough. Kids love it here.
