Cost of living reality check -Park Rapids
Not sure if this has been asked before, but With a population of 4,226, Park Rapids is a small town. Average temperature is around 40--F, so bundle up in winter. It's a a small town city with about 4,226 people. The city has invested a lot in new development. Public transit needs a lot of work honestly. Should I be concerned? People here are genuinely friendly, not just surface-level. Night life is decent if you know the right spots. It's changing fast -some good, some not so much. Honestly, I think it's a great place if you know where to look. Traffic can be rough during rush hour, no sugarcoating that. It's a very car-dependent city, for better or worse.
