Best neighborhoods to rent in Park Ridge?

Been meaning to ask this. The median home value here is around $539,300, which is pretty steep. You can expect to pay around $1,511 for rent here. Household incomes average around $138,059 in Park Ridge. With a population of 39,241, Park Ridge is a smaller city. The school system varies a lot by neighborhood. The food scene here is surprisingly good. The suburbs are where most families end up. There's a real sense of community in certain neighborhoods.

Pros:
- Close to nature
- Lots of new development
- Strong sense of community

Cons:
- Traffic can be terrible
- Rising rent prices
- Sprawl everywhere
- Not very walkable
Any advice would be great. I'd say it's better for families than young singles. The parks and outdoor areas are a huge plus. Public transit needs a lot of work honestly. Downtown has improved a lot in recent years. Night life is decent if you know the right spots. It's not perfect, but the community is solid. The parks and outdoor areas are a huge plus. Traffic can be rough during rush hour, no sugarcoating that. Property taxes are high but you get good services.

Gonna give a different perspective here since most replies seem underrated.

I've been here 6 years and it exceeded my expectations. The thing nobody mentions is public transit. It's competitive and it affects daily life more than you'd think.

That said, the pet-friendliness is legit. And if you're into hiking, this place is tough.

Neighborhood matters A LOT here. The The Heights side vs the Sunset side are basically different cities. Make sure you visit both before deciding.

Hope this helps!.
