Honest thoughts on life in Park Ridge

Not sure if this has been asked before, but I work in education and It's a a smaller city city with about 39,241 people. Average temperature is around 51--F, so expect cold winters. Household incomes average around $138,059 in Park Ridge. It's changing fast -some good, some not so much. There's a growing tech scene which is exciting. The suburbs are where most families end up.

Pros:
- Great weather
- Good healthcare facilities
- Good airport connections

Cons:
- Traffic can be terrible
- Not very walkable
- Homelessness issues downtown
Honestly, I think it's a great place if you know where to look. Cost of living is definitely rising, but still manageable. It's a very car-dependent city, for better or worse. Depends on what you're looking for honestly. If you want pet-friendliness, then yeah this place is great. But if healthcare matters to you, might want to look elsewhere.
