Rent vs buy in Park Ridge -what makes sense?

I work in automotive and The median home value here is around $539,300, which is pretty steep. The school system varies a lot by neighborhood. The suburbs are where most families end up.

I'd say the biggest thing people don't talk about is weather. there are trade-offs but the good outweighs the bad. Worth doing your research before committing.

OK so I've been meaning to write this for a while. I moved here 4 years ago from Houston and here's my honest breakdown:

Housing: Lots of new construction which should help. We're paying /mo for a 3-bed in Highland. It's tough for what you get.

Jobs: The market is growing right now, especially in finance. If you're in consulting you might struggle.

People: Generally tough. It took about 14 months to build a solid friend group.

Food: improving. Tons of options if you like Thai.
