Hey, I'm single, late 40s, and Homes are going for about $613,200 on average. Night life is decent if you know the right spots. Downtown has improved a lot in recent years. The school system varies a lot by neighborhood. It's not perfect, but the community is solid. I'd say it's better for families than young singles.

Great question. I'll try to be comprehensive here.
I'm a writer who relocated here from Nashville about 1 years ago. The main reasons were family and family.
Pros I've experienced:
- Cost of living is very reasonable
- Friendly community, easy to meet people
- Close to major attractions
Cons that are real:
- Not very walkable outside downtown
- Limited entertainment options
Financially, we've found it excellent compared to where we came from. It's gotten pricier but still beats the coasts. Groceries are growing, gas is surprisingly good.
Socially, it's not perfect but it works for me. Would recommend to anyone considering it..
