Parker housing prices -when will it stop?

Random thought, I'm single, late 50s, and Household incomes average around $129,342 in Parker. It's a a smaller city city with about 60,115 people. People here are genuinely friendly, not just surface-level. Let me know your thoughts.

Great question. I'll try to be comprehensive here.

I'm a data analyst who relocated here from Denver about 6 years ago. The main reasons were a fresh start and school.

Pros I've experienced:
- Good internet infrastructure
- Active local events and festivals
- Diverse dining options

Cons that are real:
- Not a lot of cultural diversity
- Can feel isolated

Financially, we've found it hit or miss compared to where we came from. It's gotten pricier but still beats the coasts. Groceries are affordable, gas is tough.

Socially, there are trade-offs but the good outweighs the bad. Your mileage may vary depending on what you're looking for..

Gonna give a different perspective here since most replies seem surprisingly good.

I've been here 7 years and I love the pace of life here. The thing nobody mentions is job market. It's established and it affects daily life more than you'd think.

That said, the cultural scene is legit. And if you're into kayaking, this place is decent.

Neighborhood matters A LOT here. The Old Town side vs the North side are basically different cities. Make sure you visit both before deciding.

Good luck with whatever you decide..

I've been here 15 years and I genuinely enjoy living here. The thing nobody mentions is healthcare. It's established and it affects daily life more than you'd think.

That said, the dating scene is legit. And if you're into photography, this place is surprisingly good.

It's not for everyone but it works for us..

OK so I've been meaning to write this for a while. I moved here 5 years ago from Salt Lake City and here's my honest breakdown:

Housing: Lots of new construction which should help. We're paying /mo for a 4-bed in Eastside. It's better than expected for what you get.

Jobs: The market is reasonable right now, especially in government. If you're in healthcare you might struggle.

People: Generally hit or miss. It took about 13 months to build a solid friend group.

Food: improving. Tons of options if you like Korean.

Definitely worth checking out..
