Is Parksdale good for remote workers?

It's a a small town city with about 2,980 people. Median household income is $55,395, which feels about average for the area. It's not perfect, but the community is solid. There's a growing tech scene which is exciting. Should I be concerned? The weather takes some getting used to. The suburbs are where most families end up. It's changing fast -some good, some not so much. Honestly, I think it's a great place if you know where to look. Public transit needs a lot of work honestly. Cost of living is definitely rising, but still manageable. There's a growing tech scene which is exciting. Public transit needs a lot of work honestly. The suburbs are where most families end up.

My experience has been mostly positive. I'm still on the fence after all this time. The only thing I'd watch out for is outdoor recreation. Other than that, Would recommend to anyone considering it..

I've lived in South for about 2 years now, so I can give you a pretty detailed perspective.

I love the pace of life here. When I first moved here from Dallas, I was surprised by cost of living. It took some adjustment but now I wouldn't trade it.

A few things worth knowing:
- Good schools in most areas
- Decent public transit for the size
- The safety scene is improving

The downsides:
- Urban sprawl is real
- Chain restaurants dominate

Overall I'd rate it 7/10 for remote workers. It's not for everyone but it works for us..

From a safety perspective, it really depends on the area. Some neighborhoods are challenging, others not so much. Do your research on specific streets.

Depends on what you're looking for honestly. If you want healthcare, then yeah this place is great. But if cost of living matters to you, might want to look elsewhere.

Hot take but there are trade-offs but the good outweighs the bad. I know a lot of people disagree but after 6 years here, that's my honest assessment.

I work in real estate here and I genuinely enjoy living here. The job market for my field is challenging. Good luck with whatever you decide..

Renting here right now, paying about /mo for a 4-bedroom. I wouldn't want to live anywhere else right now. Compared to Nashville it's excellent.

Alright, I'll give you the full rundown since I see a lot of surface-level answers here.

I've been in The Heights for 3 years. Moved from Raleigh for my partner's job. Here's my honest, detailed take:

**Housing:**
The market right now is decent. We bought in 2015 at k and it's now worth up significantly than that. If you're renting, expect /mo for a decent 3-bed in a safe area. Lots of new construction which should help.

**Employment:**
real estate is strong here. education is hit or miss. If you're remote, you'll love the cost of living. Average salaries are pricey for the area.

**Quality of Life:**
there are trade-offs but the good outweighs the bad. The outdoor scene is improving - we have lakes within easy driving distance. Dining has gotten so much better in the past few years.

**Schools (if relevant):**
Varies hugely by district. The Heights schools are tough. If you have kids, this should be your number one factor in choosing a neighborhood.

**The Bad:**
I'd be lying if I said everything is great. Limited shopping options. Limited entertainment options. And cultural scene can be frustrating.

**Bottom line:**
For families, I'd say this is a 7/10. Definitely worth checking out.. Feel free to ask specific questions - happy to help.

We moved here with our family and the quality of life is solid. Schools in Riverside area are better than expected. Kids love it here.
