How is Parma for outdoor activities?

Been meaning to ask this. I'm retired and Poverty rate is 6.3%, which is pretty low. The food scene here is surprisingly good. The city has invested a lot in new development. Has anyone dealt with this? Public transit needs a lot of work honestly. The city has invested a lot in new development.

As someone who grew up here, I'm still on the fence after all this time. A lot has changed in the past few years though. housing market used to be much growing but now it's tough.

Great question. I'll try to be comprehensive here.

I'm a writer who relocated here from New York about 4 years ago. The main reasons were cost of living and weather.

Pros I've experienced:
- Good healthcare facilities
- Good internet infrastructure
- Strong sense of community

Cons that are real:
- Chain restaurants dominate
- Can feel isolated

Financially, we've found it pretty good compared to where we came from. Buying is tough right now, renting is more reasonable. Groceries are affordable, gas is pretty good.

Socially, I'm still on the fence after all this time. Good luck with whatever you decide..

OK so I've been meaning to write this for a while. I moved here 7 years ago from Atlanta and here's my honest breakdown:

Housing: Lots of new construction which should help. We're paying /mo for a 2-bed in Lakewood. It's tough for what you get.

Jobs: The market is manageable right now, especially in tech. If you're in engineering you might struggle.

People: Generally solid. It took about 17 months to build a solid friend group.

Food: underrated. Tons of options if you like craft beer.

Definitely worth checking out..

I'm a marketing manager and I've found I have mixed feelings honestly. The community is tough and there's always something going on.
