Hey folks, Rent is about $2,187/month for a decent place. What are your go-to spots? TIA!

Public transit is solid here. You'll probably need a car for most things. it's been a really good experience overall.

Came here for weather and stayed because I have mixed feelings honestly. The housing market is honestly improving and I don't see that changing anytime soon.

Came here for retirement and stayed because I love the pace of life here. The job market is honestly excellent and I don't see that changing anytime soon.

Used to live on the Meadowbrook side, now on the Maple Ridge side. Completely different vibe. it was the best decision I ever made.

I'd say the biggest thing people don't talk about is nightlife. it's been a really good experience overall. Worth doing your research before committing.

Bought a house here in 2021 and there are trade-offs but the good outweighs the bad. Property values have gone down slightly since then.

I've lived in Midtown for about 4 years now, so I can give you a pretty detailed perspective.
I wouldn't want to live anywhere else right now. When I first moved here from Atlanta, I was surprised by school system. It took some adjustment but now I wouldn't trade it.
A few things worth knowing:
- Great outdoor activities nearby
- Friendly community, easy to meet people
- The pet-friendliness scene is challenging
The downsides:
- Traffic during rush hour is rough
- Limited high-paying job options
Overall I'd rate it 9/10 for remote workers. Definitely worth checking out..
