Housing market in Parsippany right now

Been meaning to ask this. I'm single, late 40s, and Average temperature is around 52--F, so expect cold winters. It's a a small town city with about 21,869 people. With a population of 21,869, Parsippany is a small town. The food scene here is surprisingly good. There's a real sense of community in certain neighborhoods. People here are genuinely friendly, not just surface-level. Worth the trade-offs? Night life is decent if you know the right spots. People here are genuinely friendly, not just surface-level. The suburbs are where most families end up. Cost of living is definitely rising, but still manageable.

Great question. I'll try to be comprehensive here.

I'm a teacher who relocated here from Houston about 8 years ago. The main reasons were a fresh start and family.

Pros I've experienced:
- Active local events and festivals
- Four distinct seasons
- Diverse dining options

Cons that are real:
- Limited public transit options
- Limited high-paying job options

Financially, we've found it better than expected compared to where we came from. The market is competitive but not impossible. Groceries are affordable, gas is decent.

Socially, I genuinely enjoy living here. It's not for everyone but it works for us..
