Best and worst neighborhoods in Parsons

Curious what people think. My partner and I are Rent is about $731/month for a decent place. Night life is decent if you know the right spots. I'd say it's better for families than young singles. Has anyone dealt with this?

If you're remote, this place is great for cost of living. the quality of life is solid. Internet is better than expected in most areas.

Used to live on the Oak Park side, now on the Meadowbrook side. Completely different vibe. it's improved dramatically in recent years.

My experience has been mostly positive. it's exactly what I was looking for. The only thing I'd watch out for is community vibe. Other than that, Definitely worth checking out..

Alright, I'll give you the full rundown since I see a lot of surface-level answers here.

I've been in Westside for 15 years. Moved from San Francisco for work. Here's my honest, detailed take:

**Housing:**
The market right now is better than expected. We bought in 2022 at k and it's now worth up significantly than that. If you're renting, expect /mo for a decent 1-bed in a safe area. It's gotten pricier but still beats the coasts.

**Employment:**
marketing is strong here. finance is hit or miss. If you're remote, you'll love the cost of living. Average salaries are competitive for the area.

**Quality of Life:**
I wouldn't want to live anywhere else right now. The outdoor scene is tough - we have ski resorts within easy driving distance. Dining has gotten so much better in the past few years.

**Schools (if relevant):**
Varies hugely by district. Westside schools are pretty good. If you have kids, this should be your number one factor in choosing a neighborhood.

**The Bad:**
I'd be lying if I said everything is great. Rising rent and home prices. Limited shopping options. And cost of living can be frustrating.

**Bottom line:**
For young professionals, I'd say this is a 7/10. Definitely worth checking out.. Feel free to ask specific questions - happy to help.

Public transit is surprisingly good here. You'll probably need a car for most things. I genuinely enjoy living here.

From a safety perspective, it really depends on the area. Some neighborhoods are underrated, others not so much. Do your research on specific streets.

I work in retail here and I wouldn't want to live anywhere else right now. The job market for my field is hit or miss. Feel free to reach out with questions..
