Job market in Pasadena Hills for tech?

Hey, I'm a nurse at the local hospital and Crime rate is something to consider -Pasadena Hills sits at 409.1 per 100K. The unemployment rate is 1.7%, which is pretty low. Property taxes are high but you get good services. Traffic can be rough during rush hour, no sugarcoating that. The suburbs are where most families end up. The food scene here is surprisingly good. It's a very car-dependent city, for better or worse.

Renting here right now, paying about /mo for a 4-bedroom. I have mixed feelings honestly. Compared to Charlotte it's solid.

I'm a lawyer and I've found it's improved dramatically in recent years. The community is surprisingly good and there's always something going on.

I've lived in West for about 8 years now, so I can give you a pretty detailed perspective.

I have mixed feelings honestly. When I first moved here from Denver, I was surprised by walkability. It took some adjustment but now I wouldn't trade it.

A few things worth knowing:
- Cost of living is very reasonable
- Nice parks and green spaces
- The nightlife scene is pretty good

The downsides:
- Limited shopping options
- Homeless population growing downtown

Overall I'd rate it 6/10 for young professionals. It's not for everyone but it works for us..
