Cheapest neighborhoods in Pascagoula?

OK so I work in education and Rent is about $896/month for a decent place. Median household income is $43,286, which feels on the lower side for the area. Public transit needs a lot of work honestly. I'd say it's better for families than young singles. Should I be concerned? Thanks! The suburbs are where most families end up. The city has invested a lot in new development.

Real talk - this place is not for everyone, and I think that's OK.

If you value outdoor recreation, you'll love it. The outdoor recreation is genuinely surprisingly good and I've found it exceeded my expectations. My neighborhood (Pine Hills) is growing and I feel safe walking around at night.

But if you're coming from Chicago, be prepared for the culture shock. pet-friendliness is completely different here. And Limited high-paying job options.

My advice would be to visit for at least a week before committing. Rent first, don't buy. And explore multiple neighborhoods - they're all different.
