Unpopular opinion about Passaic

Hi all, I grew up here but left for a while. With a population of 69,651, Passaic is a smaller city. You can expect to pay around $1,392 for rent here. Traffic can be rough during rush hour, no sugarcoating that. The parks and outdoor areas are a huge plus. The city has invested a lot in new development. What are your go-to spots? It's a very car-dependent city, for better or worse. It's changing fast -some good, some not so much. It's not perfect, but the community is solid. Property taxes are high but you get good services. OK so I've been meaning to write this for a while. I moved here 11 years ago from Dallas and here's my honest breakdown:

Housing: Buying is tough right now, renting is more reasonable. We're paying /mo for a 3-bed in Fairview. It's hit or miss for what you get.

Jobs: The market is growing right now, especially in marketing. If you're in real estate you might struggle.

People: Generally challenging. It took about 12 months to build a solid friend group.

Food: tough. Tons of options if you like BBQ.

Hope this helps!.
