Hi all, Been living here since 2020. It's a a smaller city city with about 75,280 people. Average temperature is around 51--F, so expect cold winters. Honestly, I think it's a great place if you know where to look. People here are genuinely friendly, not just surface-level. The suburbs are where most families end up. Should I be concerned? Traffic can be rough during rush hour, no sugarcoating that. There's a growing tech scene which is exciting. Honestly, I think it's a great place if you know where to look. The food scene here is surprisingly good. Night life is decent if you know the right spots. It's a very car-dependent city, for better or worse.

Depends on what you're looking for honestly. If you want pet-friendliness, then yeah this place is great. But if traffic matters to you, might want to look elsewhere.

Great question. I'll try to be comprehensive here.
I'm a electrician who relocated here from Portland about 12 years ago. The main reasons were my partner's job and a fresh start.
Pros I've experienced:
- Cost of living is very reasonable
- Strong job market in several industries
- Lots of family-friendly activities
Cons that are real:
- Winters are long and cold
- Not a lot of cultural diversity
Financially, we've found it better than expected compared to where we came from. The market is competitive but not impossible. Groceries are developing, gas is hit or miss.
Socially, it's been a really good experience overall. No regrets on my end..
