OK so I'm retired and Homes are going for about $286,200 on average. Poverty rate is 10.1%, which is around average. It's a a smaller city city with about 75,280 people. Crime rate is something to consider -Pawtucket sits at 406.8 per 100K. Property taxes are high but you get good services. People here are genuinely friendly, not just surface-level. Does this match your experience? Public transit needs a lot of work honestly. Honestly, I think it's a great place if you know where to look. Downtown has improved a lot in recent years. The school system varies a lot by neighborhood. Traffic can be rough during rush hour, no sugarcoating that.

Public transit is better than expected here. You'll probably need a car for most things. it exceeded my expectations.
