Cheapest neighborhoods in Pawtucket?

Hey everyone, With a population of 75,280, Pawtucket is a smaller city. It's not perfect, but the community is solid. The suburbs are where most families end up.

Not gonna lie, the first year was rough. But once you find your neighborhood and your people, it's exactly what I was looking for. Happy to answer more specific questions..

Great question. I'll try to be comprehensive here.

I'm a teacher who relocated here from Phoenix about 14 years ago. The main reasons were weather and school.

Pros I've experienced:
- Growing food and restaurant scene
- Close to major attractions
- Good airport with direct flights

Cons that are real:
- Traffic during rush hour is rough
- Not very walkable outside downtown

Financially, we've found it hit or miss compared to where we came from. It's gotten pricier but still beats the coasts. Groceries are developing, gas is tough.

Socially, it's been a really good experience overall. It's not for everyone but it works for us..

From a safety perspective, it really depends on the area. Some neighborhoods are improving, others not so much. Do your research on specific streets.

I've been living here for 11 years and I'd say I genuinely enjoy living here. The food scene is solid compared to other places I've lived. Overall Hope this helps!.

Hot take but it's exactly what I was looking for. I know a lot of people disagree but after 12 years here, that's my honest assessment.

If you're remote, this place is great for cost of living. it's exactly what I was looking for. Internet is better than expected in most areas.

My experience has been mostly positive. I have mixed feelings honestly. The only thing I'd watch out for is safety. Other than that, It's not for everyone but it works for us..

Depends on what you're looking for honestly. If you want weather, then yeah this place is great. But if cultural scene matters to you, might want to look elsewhere.

As someone who grew up here, it's improved dramatically in recent years. A lot has changed in the past few years though. cost of living used to be much developing but now it's excellent.

I've lived in Oak Park for about 2 years now, so I can give you a pretty detailed perspective.

it's been a really good experience overall. When I first moved here from Austin, I was surprised by pet-friendliness. It took some adjustment but now I wouldn't trade it.

A few things worth knowing:
- Low crime in most neighborhoods
- Lots of new development happening
- The community vibe scene is hit or miss

The downsides:
- Not very walkable outside downtown
- Property taxes are high

Overall I'd rate it 7/10 for families. It's not for everyone but it works for us..

Gonna give a different perspective here since most replies seem solid.

I've been here 3 years and I love the pace of life here. The thing nobody mentions is nightlife. It's reasonable and it affects daily life more than you'd think.

That said, the weather is legit. And if you're into camping, this place is average.

Neighborhood matters A LOT here. The Pine Hills side vs the South side are basically different cities. Make sure you visit both before deciding.

Feel free to reach out with questions..
