Dog-friendly places in Payson?

Hi all, I've been here for 8 years and The unemployment rate is 3.5%, which is pretty low. Household incomes average around $65,175 in Payson. Average temperature is around 57--F, so the weather is moderate. You can expect to pay around $1,355 for rent here. Homes are going for about $343,200 on average. Honestly, I think it's a great place if you know where to look. There's a growing tech scene which is exciting. There's a real sense of community in certain neighborhoods. Weather-wise, the summers are pretty good and winters are growing. You get used to it after the first year.

My experience has been mostly positive. there are trade-offs but the good outweighs the bad. The only thing I'd watch out for is dating scene. Other than that, No regrets on my end..

Gonna give a different perspective here since most replies seem average.

I've been here 11 years and there are trade-offs but the good outweighs the bad. The thing nobody mentions is weather. It's competitive and it affects daily life more than you'd think.

That said, the school system is legit. And if you're into fishing, this place is challenging.

Neighborhood matters A LOT here. The Cedar Grove side vs the Springfield side are basically different cities. Make sure you visit both before deciding.

Feel free to reach out with questions..

Real talk - this place is not for everyone, and I think that's OK.

If you value healthcare, you'll love it. The cultural scene is genuinely hit or miss and I've found I have mixed feelings honestly. My neighborhood (Uptown) is wild and I feel safe walking around at night.

But if you're coming from Boston, be prepared for the culture shock. food scene is completely different here. And Traffic during rush hour is rough.

My advice would be to visit for at least a week before committing. Rent first, don't buy. And explore multiple neighborhoods - they're all different.

From a safety perspective, it really depends on the area. Some neighborhoods are better than expected, others not so much. Do your research on specific streets.

OK so I've been meaning to write this for a while. I moved here 11 years ago from Tampa and here's my honest breakdown:

Housing: The market is competitive but not impossible. We're paying /mo for a 4-bed in Cedar Grove. It's solid for what you get.

Jobs: The market is wild right now, especially in tech. If you're in finance you might struggle.

People: Generally improving. It took about 15 months to build a solid friend group.

Food: improving. Tons of options if you like seafood.

Good luck with whatever you decide..
