Military spouse here. Rent is about $1,393/month for a decent place. The unemployment rate is 3.3%, which is pretty low. The school system varies a lot by neighborhood. Honestly, I think it's a great place if you know where to look. Property taxes are high but you get good services. Downtown has improved a lot in recent years.
