Hey, I work in hospitality and With a population of 54,180, Peabody is a smaller city. The median home value here is around $566,200, which is pretty steep. You can expect to pay around $1,902 for rent here. Homes are going for about $566,200 on average. Average temperature is around 50--F, so expect cold winters. It's changing fast -some good, some not so much. Cost of living is definitely rising, but still manageable. People here are genuinely friendly, not just surface-level. Thoughts? TIA! There's a real sense of community in certain neighborhoods. People here are genuinely friendly, not just surface-level. The parks and outdoor areas are a huge plus. Property taxes are high but you get good services. It's a very car-dependent city, for better or worse. The food scene here is surprisingly good. The weather takes some getting used to. Honestly, I think it's a great place if you know where to look. It's a very car-dependent city, for better or worse. The city has invested a lot in new development. I'd say it's better for families than young singles. There's a growing tech scene which is exciting. The school system varies a lot by neighborhood. There's a growing tech scene which is exciting. I'd say it's better for families than young singles.

Public transit is excellent here. You'll probably need a car for most things. it's improved dramatically in recent years.

I've lived in Meadowbrook for about 9 years now, so I can give you a pretty detailed perspective.
I wouldn't want to live anywhere else right now. When I first moved here from Minneapolis, I was surprised by community vibe. It took some adjustment but now I wouldn't trade it.
A few things worth knowing:
- Diverse dining options
- Strong sense of community
- The nightlife scene is average
The downsides:
- Nightlife is limited
- Limited shopping options
Overall I'd rate it 7/10 for young professionals. Hope this helps!.

Came here for work and stayed because it exceeded my expectations. The school system is honestly excellent and I don't see that changing anytime soon.

Not gonna lie, the first year was rough. But once you find your neighborhood and your people, there are trade-offs but the good outweighs the bad. Would recommend to anyone considering it..

Hot take but I have mixed feelings honestly. I know a lot of people disagree but after 4 years here, that's my honest assessment.

From a safety perspective, it really depends on the area. Some neighborhoods are pretty good, others not so much. Do your research on specific streets.
