What surprised you most about Peabody?

So, My partner and I are Crime rate is something to consider -Peabody sits at 231.6 per 100K. Rent is about $1,902/month for a decent place. Poverty rate is 5.1%, which is pretty low. It's a a smaller city city with about 54,180 people. The median home value here is around $566,200, which is pretty steep. Cost of living is definitely rising, but still manageable. The parks and outdoor areas are a huge plus. Property taxes are high but you get good services. The city has invested a lot in new development. I'd say it's better for families than young singles.

Pros:
- Nice parks and trails
- Good healthcare facilities
- Good internet infrastructure

Cons:
- Hot summers
- Cold winters
- High property taxes
- Far from major airports
- Not enough green space
Am I wrong here? TIA! There's a growing tech scene which is exciting. Public transit needs a lot of work honestly. It's not perfect, but the community is solid. Property taxes are high but you get good services. It's a very car-dependent city, for better or worse. The school system varies a lot by neighborhood. The food scene here is surprisingly good. It's changing fast -some good, some not so much. The suburbs are where most families end up. Property taxes are high but you get good services. There's a growing tech scene which is exciting. The weather takes some getting used to.
