Anyone work in healthcare in Peachtree City?

Hi all, Homes are going for about $461,000 on average. You can expect to pay around $1,915 for rent here. Rent is about $1,915/month for a decent place. Public transit needs a lot of work honestly. The weather takes some getting used to. The food scene here is surprisingly good. Night life is decent if you know the right spots. Thanks for reading. I'd say it's better for families than young singles. Downtown has improved a lot in recent years. Cost of living is definitely rising, but still manageable. OK I'm going to write a proper review because I've seen too many incomplete answers.

Background: I'm a sales manager, 33, moved here 13 years ago from LA. I've lived in East and Cedar Grove, and traveled to most parts of the metro.

**What I love:**
1. Cost of living is very reasonable
2. Good internet infrastructure
3. Affordable housing options
4. The people are generally solid - I found my community within the first year

**What I don't love:**
1. Rising rent and home prices
2. Homeless population growing downtown
3. The housing market situation is pricey and doesn't seem to be improving

**Neighborhoods I'd recommend:**
- East: Great for retirees. surprisingly good vibes, walkable.
- Cedar Grove: More affordable, family-friendly.

**Neighborhoods I'd avoid:**
- Without naming names, stay away from areas east of downtown until you know the city better.

**Cost comparison:**
Coming from LA, everything felt pretty good. Rent is about /mo. Groceries are established. Gas is affordable. You can live comfortably on $80K-$130K here.

**Final verdict:**
Definitely worth checking out.. It's not perfect - nowhere is - but for the price point and quality of life, it's hard to beat. DM me if you have specific questions.

Great question. I'll try to be comprehensive here.

I'm a social worker who relocated here from Charlotte about 14 years ago. The main reasons were family and cost of living.

Pros I've experienced:
- Lots of new development happening
- Four distinct seasons
- Strong sense of community

Cons that are real:
- Winters are long and cold
- Far from beaches/mountains

Financially, we've found it pretty good compared to where we came from. Lots of new construction which should help. Groceries are developing, gas is better than expected.

Socially, it's not perfect but it works for me. Good luck with whatever you decide..
