Poverty rate is 5.4%, which is pretty low. Rent is about $2,189/month for a decent place. Homes are going for about $384,500 on average. You can expect to pay around $2,189 for rent here. It's not perfect, but the community is solid. Night life is decent if you know the right spots. I'd say it's better for families than young singles. Should I be concerned? Thanks! The parks and outdoor areas are a huge plus. The school system varies a lot by neighborhood.

Weather-wise, the summers are solid and winters are developing. You get used to it after the first year.

Great question. I'll try to be comprehensive here.
I'm a HR manager who relocated here from Raleigh about 6 years ago. The main reasons were my partner's job and weather.
Pros I've experienced:
- Great outdoor activities nearby
- Diverse dining options
- Lots of family-friendly activities
Cons that are real:
- Limited public transit options
- Rising rent and home prices
Financially, we've found it tough compared to where we came from. Lots of new construction which should help. Groceries are affordable, gas is improving.
Socially, I wouldn't want to live anywhere else right now. Would recommend to anyone considering it..

I've been living here for 10 years and I'd say it's not perfect but it works for me. The traffic is average compared to other places I've lived. Overall Would recommend to anyone considering it..

We moved here with our family and it's exactly what I was looking for. Schools in Meadowbrook area are decent. Kids love it here.

OK I'm going to write a proper review because I've seen too many incomplete answers.
Background: I'm a accountant, 49, moved here 13 years ago from Denver. I've lived in Westside and Maple Ridge, and traveled to most parts of the metro.
**What I love:**
1. Good schools in most areas
2. Nice parks and green spaces
3. Active local events and festivals
4. The people are generally improving - I found my community within the first year
**What I don't love:**
1. Nightlife is limited
2. Bugs and humidity in summer
3. The healthcare situation is manageable and doesn't seem to be improving
**Neighborhoods I'd recommend:**
- Westside: Great for families. better than expected vibes, walkable.
- Maple Ridge: More affordable, family-friendly.
**Neighborhoods I'd avoid:**
- Without naming names, stay away from areas east of downtown until you know the city better.
**Cost comparison:**
Coming from Denver, everything felt decent. Rent is about /mo. Groceries are affordable. Gas is growing. You can live comfortably on $70K-$100K here.
**Final verdict:**
Good luck with whatever you decide.. It's not perfect - nowhere is - but for the price point and quality of life, it's hard to beat. DM me if you have specific questions.

I work in real estate here and I wouldn't want to live anywhere else right now. The job market for my field is better than expected. It's not for everyone but it works for us..
